Zero Trust as a concept has been around since 2004. While navigating the challenges of expansion of attack surface through accelerated digital transformation, convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT), and shift to hybrid work, we've all had an epiphany. Network-centric, perimeter-based approaches to security are becoming increasingly less effective, and Zero Trust is shifting from being an adoption option to an imperative.
We're starting to witness the workforce and the budgets rebound to the new normal and now is the time when the focus must be on shifting the dial from unreserved trust more towards Zero Trust, while reducing risk and enabling business.
